Mission Statement
The mission of the Morongo Valley Fire Department is to save lives and protect property, provide an adequate level of service at a reasonable cost to the residents, workers and visitors of the Morongo Valley. This is accomplished through a sincere commitment to the community by a firefighting force that is dedicated to a continual training program and personal commitment to providing quality services to their community.

The CSD is Morongo Valley's community service district for Parks, Street Lights and Fire Protection. This includes Morongo Valley's beautiful Community Center, Covington Park, which includes; The Children's Library, Morongo Valley Art Colony, The Slab (skate park), Tennis Courts, Horse Shoe Pit, and Recreational Facility. This facility is managed by the CSD and is offered free to the public or available for rental for private gatherings by the hour. This includes a full service multi-purpose room with commercial kitchen. This facility can handle groups or gatherings up to 100 people. It is located in downtown Morongo Valley, adjacent to the world famous Big Morongo Canyon Preserve. Covington Park is a charming addition to the scenic Morongo Valley community. This spot is the perfect location for your next family reunion, wedding or special event.

The Morongo Valley Fire Department covers an area of approximately 30 square miles and an un-official population estimated at around 5000. It is governed by a locally elected 5 person Community Service District Board. The staffing of the Department is provided by a Fire Chief and Fire Captains who supervise a staff of full time engineers and Firefighter Paramedics as well as Firefighter / EMT'S.
